Remember that movie that came out in 1999 called “Runaway Bride?” And on the cover she’s wearing a wedding dress and tying her running shoes shoelaces? I only remember the cover because I had the soundtrack. Please don’t make fun of me- it was a great soundtrack, and I loved the Dixie Chicks song “Ready to Run!”
Anyway, do you guys remember the infamous “runaway bride” from 2005? Jennifer Wilbanks was to wed her then fiance on April 30th, when four days prior she went running and never returned. She was reported missing. They found her. She said she’d been abducted- the police immediately were suspicious and their suspicions were correct: she was lying about the abduction and ran from pre-wedding jitters! It caused a manhunt and media frenzy!
She’s in the news now, five years later, because she announced she had finally found love. The two are not married, but her current boyfriend has been twice divorced. Could this be it for the runaway bride? If I was her fiance, I wouldn’t let her go running!
